Young Life Lost in Fort St. John Tragedy

More details are emerging following a fatal accident involving a small child in Fort St. John.

Constable Jacquelyn Passerell says police were called at around 1 pm Monday after a two year old child was accidentally run over.

"It is an extremely unfortunate accident. A pick-up truck was backing out of a driveway. The two year old boy was out playing in the yard, was briefly lost sight of, and ended up being run over. I think it's probably a parents worse nightmare, and the family is going through a very difficult time."

Passerell says the investigation is not a criminal one.
